His Peace
This powerful exploration of the Holy Spirit's work in our lives centers on a profound truth: the Spirit brings us shalom—a peace that goes far deeper than simply the absence of conflict. Drawing from Ephesians 4:1-6, we discover that biblical peace means wholeness, completeness, and harmony—it's the way things are supposed to be, a state where nothing is broken. In our fractured world filled with broken relationships, failed expectations, and constant disappointments, we desperately chase after this kind of peace. Yet true shalom remains elusive until we understand that it comes only through the Holy Spirit's work in three dimensions of our existence. The Spirit creates peace with God by cultivating humility—helping us accept that there is a God and we are not Him. The Spirit brings peace with ourselves through patience, freeing us from the exhausting lie that our worth depends on our work rather than God's grace. And remarkably, the Spirit generates peace with the church, enabling broken, sinful people to bear with one another in love and unity. This message challenges the pervasive heresy that spiritual growth comes primarily through our effort rather than through submission to the Spirit. When we truly grasp that God helps us, that He is with us and for us, that deep, abiding peace becomes our reality regardless of our circumstances.
