The Table, Thursday: Sunset to 10pm

This powerful exploration of the Last Supper invites us to witness Jesus as the ultimate Passover Lamb, whose body was broken and blood was shed to deliver us from slavery to sin. We journey through the rich symbolism of the Seder meal, where every element points to deliverance, from the bitter herbs representing suffering to the four cups of wine symbolizing God's promises. What strikes us most profoundly is Jesus placing Judas, his betrayer, in the seat of honor beside him. This radical act of grace reveals that God's love extends even to traitors, that His forgiveness precedes our asking, and that there is always room at His table for us, no matter our failures. The message reminds us that before God uses anyone for their highest purpose, He often breaks them first, just as Jesus gave thanks for the bread before breaking it. Our own seasons of brokenness are not endpoints but preparation for resurrection and purpose. Most beautifully, Jesus left the fourth cup, the cup of consummation, unfinished, declaring He would not drink it until He returns. This means we are living in the midst of the feast right now. Our entire lives are meant to be a communion meal with God, reorienting how we view every moment of our existence as we await the full reunion with our Creator.
