Two People
In Two People, we explore the powerful story of Jacob and Esau in Genesis 25:19–34—a story that reveals far more than sibling rivalry. From the womb, these brothers were divided, symbolizing a deeper spiritual reality Scripture teaches again and again: there are two kinds of people in the world. There are those who cherish the birthright of being God’s children… and those who trade it away for the temporary comforts of this world.
Through humor, honesty, and rich biblical insight, this sermon traces God’s surprising pattern of choosing the unlikely, redeeming the overlooked, and inviting every person to step into a new identity as His treasured possession. Just as Jacob seized the birthright Esau despised, each of us faces the same life–altering question:
Will we grasp the birthright Jesus has offered us—or settle for something far less?
This message challenges us to reflect, invites us to choose, and reminds us of God’s relentless love for those He calls His own
